Founder, Director + Site Contamination Auditor (CEnvP SC)

As the founder and Director of Mud Environmental, Adrian is a leading environmental professional with over 25 years of experience. He was the first Site Contamination Auditor appointed by the EPA under South Australian legislation and one of the first Certified Environmental Practitioners (Site Contamination) in Australia.

Known for his clarity and leadership, Adrian has worked extensively across varied geological and hydrogeological environments, delivering expert guidance on complex site contamination issues. His ability to simplify challenges and communicate clearly with regulators, developers, and communities sets him apart.

Trent Gray

Principal Environmental Scientist + Auditor Representative

As an environmental scientist with over 19 years’ experience in contaminated land assessment, Trent leads project management, field operations, and data interpretation across various contaminated sites in South Australia. Known for his precise and practical approach, Trent translates complex issues into clear strategies.

His commitment to environmental protection and collaboration reflects Mud’s values, delivering ethical, effective outcomes for clients and communities alike.

Danielle Mercorella

Principal Environmental Scientist + Auditor Representative

With over 15 years’ experience in contaminated land, project management, and government programs, Danielle is a strategic and collaborative environmental professional. She helped establish South Australia’s first EPA Orphan Site Program and excels in complex site assessments, regulation, and risk communication.

Danielle also volunteers in environmental advocacy and community clean-ups, bringing clarity, compassion, and purpose to every project she leads.

Peter Spiers

Senior Environmental Consultant

Pete brings over 15 years’ experience in construction, project management, and environmental consulting. With a background as a quantity surveyor in Adelaide and London, he applies practical insight to complex contamination and remediation projects.

At Mud, Pete leads with calm clarity and a focus on strategy and quality. Outside work, he’s often found climbing, hiking, or enjoying time outdoors.

Christian George

Environmental Scientist

Christian is an environmental scientist supporting fieldwork, data analysis, and reporting at Mud, while completing his Master’s in Climate Science. He brings sharp insight, curiosity, and purpose to every project.

With a future-focused mindset and strong ethical drive, Christian contributes to meaningful environmental outcomes that align with Mud’s values. His energy and commitment make him a valued part of the team.
